Training Staff in Hotkeys - Increase Your Efficiency

At R &G, we are always interested in how we can add value and improve the efficiency of our client's organisations however small. Recently at a client meeting we came across the topic of shortcut keys (or Hotkeys as they are commonly known) and how little most users use or know about them. These are the short-cut keys, usually a combination of alt, shift or ctrl which automatically trigger an action in a Windows application.
Short-cut keys allow you to effectively take the "Short Cut" of having to lift your hands from the keyboard and use your mouse to click a button. Although it doesn't seem like much, once mastered this definately does increase the speed at which you are able to operate within a particular program.
With this in mind, we decided to put together a list of handy hot-keys for you to circulate to your staff if you wish! My personal favorite would have to be the ability to alt-tab navigate between windows!

They do require a bit of practice so you need to keep at them, but they definately speed up how fast you can work once you have them mastered!
